The good people at Powell’s Books have posted their best kids’ and young adult books of 2018 . . . and The Pocket Guide to Spy Stuff is on the list!

A fascinating thing about writing books is that I almost never know who’s reading them. I just have to embrace the mystery.

And a fun thing about having a sister who works in schools and libraries is that she revealed part of the mystery today, after a student pulled The Drake Equation out of his backpack to read!

I was looking at this “Read Local” window display at Powell’s Books on Hawthorne, when something caught my eye. Wait for it…

As you can see from this photo, I had absolutely no fun during my TV interview about The Pocket Guide to Spy Stuff:
